CEO-Led Roundtable Charts Course for Climate Action and Gender Equality

Nairobi, Kenya - The Africa Business Leaders Coalition (ABLC) gathered at the Global Compact Network Kenya (GCNK) offices to drive sustainable development across the continent.


Under the theme "Fostering Sustainable Growth and Prosperity," the CEO-led roundtable discussions brought together influential business leaders to tackle pressing issues:

  • Climate Action: Scaling up renewable energy and reducing carbon footprint
  • Gender Equality: Promoting women's empowerment and inclusive workplaces


Chaired by Martin Ochien'g, Group Managing Director of Sasini PLC, the meeting convened top executives from:

  • Safaricom PLC (Dr. Peter Ndegwa, CEO)
  • East African Breweries PLC (Jane Karuku, Group MD & CEO)
  • Kenya Airways (Allan Kilavuka, Group MD & CEO)
  • Global Compact Network Kenya (Judy Njino, Executive Director)
