The United Nations Global Compact provides a universal language for corporate sustainability and offers a framework to guide all businesses, regardless of size, complexity, or location.
We are your guide every step of the way. We will help you establish commitments, evaluate, define, apply, measure and communicate your strategy and sustainability actions.
The change begins with the leadership of your company.
To participate in the United Nations Global Compact, we need the commitment of the General Management (or equivalent), with the support of the Board of Directors. In this way, your company assumes fundamental responsibilities in four areas: human rights, labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption. All four areas are important; responsible companies know that good practice in one area is not worth the damage in another.
Accountability is also important. We require all participants to produce an annual Communication on Progress (CoP) that outlines their efforts to operate responsibly and demonstrate progress in their commitment to the Ten Principles.
Beyond completing the Progress Communication once a year, the active participation of companies at the local level is expected, activating the different opportunities present in the value offer .
In addition, all participating companies must make an annual financial contribution to support the work of the UN Global Compact. This will allow us to continue to provide ongoing support to thousands of participants who have committed to transforming our world and driving the advancement of corporate sustainability.
When your company decides to voluntarily adhere to the Global Compact, it commits to supporting the Ten Principles, making an annual contribution and reporting once a year (CoP) on its progress in terms of sustainability. Adherence is done worldwide with the headquarters of the UN Global Compact, the Global Compact Office (GCO).
