Fostering Strong Partnerships in Angola

The UN Resident Coordinator in Angola hosts UN Global Compact Participating Companies.

On Friday 13th October, 2023, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Angola, Zahira Virani, played host to Angolan companies that participated in the UN Global Compact's Leaders Summit and PSF, during the United Nations General Assembly week.


The meeting was to facilitate an ongoing, evidence based dialogue between the private sector and other relevant stakeholders.


The objectives of the meeting included:


1. sharing and collecting information regarding company participation in private sector forum in New York;

2. engaging with the private sector in different processes and platforms to achieve the SDGs;

3. emphasizing the role of the private sector to achieve the SDGs in Angola.
